I think I’ve been watching too many Biggest Loser shows. I have begun pestering my daughter to limit her computer time and instead take up some form of exercise. She can try running, swimming, or biking. I promised her I’d buy any gear she wants as long as she sweats it out. So far, I haven’t had much success.
I was just browsing Amazon.com and I think I just found out how to get her to start stretching her muscles –the Nirve Hello Kitty Special Edition Retro 24-Inch Girls’ Cruiser Bike. She loves Hello Kitty. Almost all her school stuff, along with plenty of tee-shirts, feature a white Japanese bobtail cat with a red bow. She’s going to love this bike. I just hope she will ride it.
The bike’s frame is in two-toned pink, naturally, with a white faux leather saddle. The cute white bobtail cat’s face is emblazoned on the top tube with its name painted right beside it. The name is also on the chain guard alongside a few stars.
The tall handlebar with white grips allows the rider to sit up straight on the saddle that features double-springs for a comfortable ride. A Hello Kitty bell is mounted on the handlebar. Full-length steel fenders protect you from mud or water when riding along wet roads, while a welded kickstand keeps the bike up. The chain guard keeps your pants or shoelaces from getting caught in the chain ring.
Intended for cruising, the Hello Kitty bike has only a single-speed, with a coaster or back pedal braking mechanism. It has alloy rims on which classic whitewall tires are mounted, giving the bike a retro look. With the cruiser tire treads, riding on pavement is smooth and easy.
