Pacific Tuscon Boys’ 24-Inch Mountain Bike

The two shock absorbers of full suspension mountain bikes soak up most of the bumping and bouncing from rough terrain and jagged trails resulting in a more comfortable ride over their front suspension-only siblings. Pedaling, however, is less efficient compared to the hardtails. The reason is the rear suspension tends to absorb some of your energy as you push the pedals downward. This is especially felt when riding steep climbs. Thus, your choice of a front or full suspension depends on the type of terrain where you will be doing most of your biking.

If you or your kid prefers biking over rugged hills and mountain areas with plenty of serious downhills, go for a full suspension like the Pacific Tuscon Boys’ 24-Inch Mountain Bike. It features a Vortex front suspension fork keeping your hands from excessive vibration that could result to a feeling of “pins and needles”.

The rear suspension consists of the truncated seat tube rising from the bottom bracket, and the seat and chain stays that are attached to it. This triangular formation is attached to the down tube by a shock absorber, allowing it to pivot on the bottom bracket. The frame is sufficiently strong to support the rear suspension as it is made of steel.

Because the seat tube is cut off and the seat stay is attached to it, they no longer support the seat. Instead, the upper seat tube which actually supports the saddle is connected to the slanting top tube by two parallel tubes.

With a crankset consisting of three sprockets and a cassette with six, the Pacific Tuscon Boys’ 24-Inch Mountain Bike has 18 available gear ratios to help you negotiate steep climbs, ditches, gullies, embankments, and mounds. Gear shifting is easy with the Index Torque Drive Twist Shifters and Torque Drive rear derailleur.

Linear pull brakes provide excellent stopping power as rubber pads clamp the wheel rims.
